Other advantage of these new energy technologies are that they are decentralised, do not require polluting back-up power like what wind-farms need and do not require the same level of billion investment in upgrading of the electric power grid systems as do traditional renewable energy systems like wind- and solar-farms.
World’s first Governmental Program kick-starting competition to Oil & Gas
This is the worlds first program that has the potential to initiate technology that will be a real competitor to coal, oil & gas and on the way put traditional renewables like wind and solar cells out of the marked.
The oil & gas industry have had nothing to fear from old technologies turning in the wind. Now however, this new program can put forward quantum leap energy technologies that produce clean, low-cost, continuous power for any purpose. The situation is similar to before and after the introduction of the Computer & Internet – we can now not image a world without it and the typewriter died on the way.
Obama is starting the US Energy Revolution as called for by IEA
The difference with this program from any other Governmental Energy Development Program is that DOE here look for and does accept “out of the box” technology that normally would not even been looked at and that would have been banned as “perpetuum mobile”.
In the “World Energy Outlook 2008” the International Energy Agency (IEA) calls for “A Global Energy Revolution Despite Economic Crisis”.
The reason IEA “screams” out so strongly is very clear: In the WEO-2008 Reference Scenario, which assumes no new government policies, world primary energy demand grows by 1.6% per year on average between 2006 and 2030 – an increase of 45% with energy-related CO2 emissions set to increase by 45% between 2006 and 2030, reaching 41 Gt.
As far as we know the world can not handle this type of increase in greenhouse gas emission without strong adverse effects that we might not like at all and that even can be “difficult to live with” for millions of people.
It is scientifically documented that energy technologies for converting the electromagnetic and static energy around the earth and the sun was developed in 1902 – “The Earth Battery”. This powerful and totally clean energy technology was suppressed by coal and oil interests – there has been no real need for oil and coal from 1902 – Carbone free energy production for any need has been technologically possible for over 100 years. Also – at one time there were more electric cars than gasoline cars on the road, but oil interests changed that and we now see the effect.
This increase of 45 % in primary energy demand in addition to a present need for a reduction in fossil fuel use of 60 % can in no way be meet by the old traditional renewable energy sources like solar, wind and biofuel. The US has realised that “business as usual” does not save the world. America now show they know that new government policies and new working solutions have to be looked at with an open eye even if, at present, the “community of scientific experts” often does not know how some of these new transformational energy technologies can work and produce continuous clean power in a modern society.
