New Energy Form Solves The Climate Crisis
A new CO2-free form of energy that only runs on water solves the climate problem. That is engineer Jørn Erik Ommang completely convinced about.

It is the U.S. company Black Light Power Inc. who claim they have developed a
process that represents a new CO2-free energy source based on principles that are something between chemistry and quantum physics.

Energy Revolution
Jørn Erik Ommang, project manager in the energy-consulting firm Enerley.com, is using words such as sensation and revolution when he speaks about BlackLight Powers´ discoveries. The engineer from Bergen, whose business is the provision of newsletters about the developments in energy technologies, has followed BlackLight Power for years. 19 years it has taken to develop and optimize the process. In October 2008 and August 2009 researchers at Rowan University in New Jersey, USA, verified that the company's two 10 and 50 kW prototypes were functioning exactly as the company claimed. The University was able to duplicate the process without help.
- In about as little as two years a commercial model can be applicable as power plant
and supply the Norwegian homes with electricity, "said Ommang.
More powerful than oil and gas
The BlackLight-process provides large amounts of heat energy that can be used for heating and electricity production. In addition, the process can be used to generate large amounts of cheap hydrogen gas for vehicles, aircrafts and shipping.
- The technology can replace the burners in coal-, oil- and gas-fired power plants so that one gets power plants run by water and does not emit any CO2. We are talking about an energy technology that is much more powerful than oil and gas at the same time as it is cheap enough to be a real replacement, "says Ommang. Pure CO2-free energy at 1.2 cents (US) per kWh is his incredible estimate.
- How does the process work in practice?
- Black Light Power Inc. has invented a solid fuel that they have put together based on common chemical constituents. In the BlackLight-process this solid substance work as a catalyst that at around 50 degrees Celsius gets the electron in hydrogen atom to go into a lower orbit than the ground state. Thereby one gets a temperature inside the reactor at over 900 degrees. The solid substance takes part in the process as an activator and energy carrier and can easily be reconfigured and be used again. Water is being split by normal electrolysis into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen is released and the hydrogen molecule is split into two hydrogen atoms. The catalyst substance reacts with the hydrogen atom and large amounts of energy are released. The energy is first transmitted through resonance from the hydrogen over to the catalyst material that is ionized. The hydrogen atom than shrinks to a so-called hydrino and it releases light, enormous amounts of heat and hydrino-hydrides. Since the BlackLight process can access a new source of energy and it creates more than 200 times the energy needed to split hydrogen from water, so the process can run on hydrogen from ordinary water. The BlackLight-process gets out 200 times more energy from the hydrogen than you get by burning hydrogen gas in the usual way.

To save $2 billion per year
Ommang have access to test procedures and research licenses that so that any energy laboratory in Norway can test out the process themselves.
- All components of the new energy technology are chemistry and equipment than one can buy today. There is no need for the development of new equipment or new chemical compounds. In the United States six power plants have purchased licenses for a total of 8400 MW and calculates to save 2 billion dollars per year, explains the engineer. He provides a Norwegian savings example:
- A power plant based on the new energy technology with the ability to generate power corresponding to what the wind farm Havsul is planed to generate, will cost five percent of the Havsul 1 to install. The plant will generate electricity at a cost that is ten percent of the cost of power from Havsul 1. This is the beginning of the end for the old renewable energy technologies wind, solar, wave and biomass, said Ommang.
- If this is the next big thing, why have we not heard more about the new form of energy here at home?
- In the United States and several other countries, this new CO2-free form of energy and the BlackLight-Process is fairly well known, and the company has received the investor capital they need to come on the market within a few years. The BlackLight-Process has been presented on CNN, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times and the BBC. A municipality in England have demanded that the parliament initiate testing of the BlackLight process. The reasons why even research managers in the major Norwegian energy companies are not aware of this are several, but it turns out that NTNU has had a significant impact on the availability of this information. Professors at NTNU have for over 12 years spoken out strongly negative to the possibilities that exists in new hydrogen technology and hydrogen as an energy source. In addition managers and researchers in Norwegian energy companies have the attitude that they get all the information and knowledge they need about new energy technologies through traditional literature and normal media. This is a dangerous attitude. One sees repeatedly that companies make serious mistakes in supporting old energy technologies. That no experts in the world have refuted that that the BlackLight Power reactors of 10 kW and 50 kW works and that source of energy is new and CO2-free does not seem to have an effect on the advice NTNU provide Norwegian industry. Norwegian business and industry need knowledge from other sources than NTNU to reduce future new losses in billions within the old forms of renewable energy; wind, solar and bio-energy.
Pure Fraud
Chemistry Professor Martin Ystenes at NTNU are not gracious in his criticism when he is asked about a comment. - It stinks fraud of this. The electron in the hydrogen ground state cannot get lower energy, it is impossible from quantum physics, he argues. If someone had actually done it, than Ystenes believe it is strange that this has passed by the scientific world. Only one journal has published the results, and Ystenes describes it as fairly unreliable. - If there had been the slightest hint of reality behind it, "New Scientist" had made it into a main story, week after week. How can it be that no one that reads these magazines has heard of it? Unless one wants to try with conspiracy theories, it remains only a possibility: It is pure nonsense, "said Ystenes. Ystenes also questions the outcome of the process. - "The Waste material" is claimed not to be pollution, but something completely new, with unknown properties and effects. How do one than know that it is safe? It is inconceivable that one will accept something as new as this, without examining it first. Here it is, after all, talking about massive amounts that will be produced to meet the world’s energy needs. BlackLight is talking about energies between chemical energy and nuclear energy that equals between X-rays and gamma rays. Why have neither environmental organizations, nor HES-agencies responded? Because it does not exist, says the chemistry professor.
Norway will loose industrial opportunities
- It's amazing that, in a global context, little NTNU and Professor Martin
Ystenes can sit in Trondheim and accuse us all of being engage in "pure fraud". NTNU's statements were commented on by the management of BlackLight Power Inc. as totally amazing statements from Norway's leading university and educational institution - they were wondering what the oil nation, Norway was doing. If Norwegian companies and investors in energy does not soon turn, acquire knowledge about, and engages in modern powerful CO2-free energy technologies instead of the old renewable, they will lose even more billions of kroner and Norway will lose new industrial opportunities, responded engineer Ommang.
